Other ways to spend your day is at the Utopia City Park where you can play in the Sabinal River, enjoy the best July 4th Fireworks display in the hill country, June Rodeo/Dance, and other seasonal activities.

Within a 60 mile radius you will find plenty to do - a visit to Bandera, self-proclaimed Cowboy Capital of the World, where you'll find cowboys, rodeos, shopping, dining and seasonal activities, Diners, Drive-ins and Dives' favorite Mac & Ernie's Roadside Eatery in Tarpley, Garner State Park, Concan, Leakey and the Frio River. ATT customers will have intermittent cell service throughout the area.

Vanderpool, TX

Smack dab in the middle of RR 337, one of Texas' most scenic roadways, Vanderpool lies 20 miles west of Medina and 15 miles east of Leakey. Because of its steep grades and winding two-lane roads, Vanderpool is popular with motorcyclists, car clubs, and nature tourists.

For a small community, Utopia has some of the best dining and shopping options in the area as well as a 9 hole golf course which served as the setting for the movie "Seven Days in Utopia" starring Robert Duvall. .
